Audit Readiness Consulting

Know what the auditor sees before they arrive

Most audit findings aren't caused by bad practices. They're caused by good practices that weren't documented, or records that didn't quite line up.

We spend our days auditing farms against these standards. That means we know where farms lose points, and how to sort it out before it costs you a re-audit.

What we do
Gap review

A full walkthrough of your operation against the standard you're certifying to, with a plain-language list of what needs attention

Documentation and records

Setting up recordkeeping that satisfies the standard without burying you in paperwork

Mock audit

We run it like the real thing, so nothing on audit day is a surprise

Corrective action support

If you've already had findings, we help you close them out properly

What you get

A clear written summary of where you stand, what needs to change, and what order to tackle it in.

How we know this

Our audit work

Where the advice comes from

We conduct audits on behalf of certification bodies across a range of food safety and animal welfare programs, on farms and in the operations that handle, pack, store and process what leaves them.

Certifying to something not mentioned here? Ask. There's a good chance it's a standard we already audit against.

Audit assignments come to us from the certifying bodies. They decide who we audit. It's the reason we know these standards the way we do, and what our consulting work is built on.

Note

Where YFTC conducts your certification audit, we cannot also provide consulting to that same operation for the same program. Independence matters, and we protect it.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us a bit about your operation and what you're certifying to. We'll tell you straight whether you need a full readiness review or just a couple of adjustments.

Based in Plattsville, Ontario. We work across Canada. Just ask.
